4.5.1 TEST SCALE PORT

Activate the SELF TEST menu and press the ENTER key when the

DT210 displays 'TEST SCALE PORT'.

The scale port test provides 2 menu options:

DISPLAY DATA -- Displays serial data as it is received.

DISPLAY ERRORS -- Displays framing errors, parity errors and over run errors.

Use the scale test functions if the scale data does not appear on the DT210 display.

TEST SYMPTOM PROBABLE CAUSE

DISPLAY DATA No data appears. Wiring between the DT210

and the scale indicator is

incorrect. The DT210’s RS232

or Current loop jumper is in

the wrong position.

DISPLAY DATA Data is unintelligible The configured BAUD rate is

incorrect.

DISPLAY ERRORS Parity errors (PE) or framing

errors (FE).

The configured data format is

incorrect
